Moi

A simple girl at heart on an outrageous mission to seek meaning and purpose in life. I am an old soul whose path has forever changed by the opportunity to live and study in Bangkok, Thailand and travel South East Asia for sixteen. I love to travel, cook, photography, social entrepreneurship, arts & crafts, culture, nature and love! I believe that as humans, our true character shines in the face of adversity. At the young age of 24, I’ve had my small share of hardships and am completely aware of all the gloominess that surrounds us. BUT! There is also so much beauty if only we seek it with our eyes wide open.

Here, I will share all that I find beautiful in life, my inspirations & aspirations and my journey pursuing a life doing things I love. I believe that a beautiful life is one that is shared; every little ounce of it!

My hope is to inspire others to also take the chance in seeking and pursuing their passions because this is what fuels me! enjoy ❤

    • Hey! I stumbled upon your blog when I did a Google search for Lampoon and I’ve just read your Reverse Culture-Shock section – after reading it, I HAD to message you!
I have travelled a lot and totally identify with everything you said! Apparently doctors are starting to recognise and acknowledge RCS as a medical condition now – not sure if you could phone in sick from work with it though…! My only advice to people who suffer it is to book another trip!
I’ve travelled extensively in South East Asia and I can no longer tolerate Western values! (I’m from England btw.) I see people stressing over trivial things, having no perspective, being so materialistic etc. When I think about the people I met in Laos, Myanmar etc who have no agenda, are not jaded or negative or selfish, I just want to be back there! (Fortunately I will be soon – I’m off to Oman, Singapore and Chiang Mai in November; just for 3 weeks, but I can’t wait!)
What are you up to these days? Have you been assimilated back into your old conformist life (not that I can talk; I have a responsible 9-5 job back here in England…), or are you still a free spirit?! (Where are you from?)
Whatever you are doing now, or do in the future, I wish you all the best.
      Phil
